We
have seen this done many times, classic music remade to a different beat
in order to make it a hit again, but when Jerry Rivera decided to give a
tropical vibe to Carlos Gardel's best tangos, I bet few of us thought he
could pull it off, well here it is now, all shiny and why not, "Caribe
Gardel" is one of this year's best work if you ask me. Tango is not
the easiest music to sing, now add the element of percussion to it and you
have a combination of rhythms that can be the most challenging for any
artist, but don't worry about finding this album boring or perhaps too
mellow for your tropical taste because this album is anything but boring.
